Altadena Dr. Topic: "Using our Bodies to Connect with God" by Pastor Ruth Sievert of Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church and Lori Stein of the Altadena Baha'i Community. Bring a vegetarian dish to share. Donations accepted for low-income students at Loma Alta Elementary School: backpacks, pencil boxes, pencils, crayons, lined paper, erasers, and/or cash. - scissors/paper/rock salon's summer music series continues with Auto Defa (folk rock) and singer/sonwriter Richard Hewlett, starting at 7:30 PM. 1864 N. Allen, admission is free.

- Barks and Books: Read to Pearl, a friendly rescued poodle from the Pasadena Humane Society, starting at 11 AM at the Library, 600 E. Mariposa.
- Altadena Community Garden Annual Picnic: entertainment and garden-fresh food, 1-6 PM. Tickets $8, Loma Alta Park.
- Western music house concert with singer/haromica virtuoso Gary Allegretto and Ian Espinoza. Harmonica workshop starts at 4 PM (reservations closed July 7) and concert starts with refreshments at 6:30 PM (suggested donation $20). Contact big.hat@sbcglobal.com for concert reservations and location.
- Gallery At the End of the World, 2475 N. Lake Ave., will hold a Doo-Dah Parade memorabilia show fundraiser for the Light Bringer Project.. Entertainment, refreshments, photo contest, and silent auction. Admission $5, Doo-Dah attire is encouraged, starts at 6 PM.
- Sheriff's Support Group Summer Concert Series continues with the Crown City Dixieland Band at Farnsworth Park, starting 7 PM. Admission is free.
