Andrea Sweet, manager of the American Cancer Society's Altadena Relay for Life, sends us an update -- it starts next Saturday:
Things are getting busy and the countdown begins! Relay is about a week away and preparations and excitement are well underway for the 2nd Annual Relay For Life of Altadena. Currently Altadena has 15 teams and 76 participants registered online. The 2010 Relay for Life of Altadena Event is August 14 – 15 at Farnsworth Park, Saturday, 9 a.m. to Sunday, 9 a.m.
One Day, One Night; One Community, One Fight.
This is our second year in Altadena, we are still a young event and really need some more of that uniquely Altadena community spirit and support. All funds raised at Relay for Life go towards, Cancer Prevention and Awareness, Education and Research; Advocacy & Public Policy and those most important Patient Services.
Please join us at one of our ceremonies:
Saturday, 9 a.m. Opening Ceremony, Celebrate our Survivors
Saturday, 9 p.m. Luminaria Ceremony, Remember our loved ones
Sunday, 9 AM. Closing Ceremony, Fight Back against Cancer!!!
