A series of meetings to discuss whether to add the mountains encircling San Fernando, La Crescenta, Santa Clarita, Simi and Conejo Valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura counties to the National Park System will be held from mid-September into October. Meetings will start Sept. 14, and include an Oct. 9 meeting at Davies Auditorium in Farnsworth Park. National Parks Traveler has more details.
