Yolande Carson and Kenia Lira from (Altadenablog sponsor) Scissors Paper Rock Salon spent Thursday morning giving free haircuts and manicures at a "Back to School" event for underprivileged school kids.
The annual event was held at Santa Anita Racetrack and was sponsored by Foothill Unity Community Center.
Carson said, "We had a great time and we encourage anyone to join us next year and volunteer."
