The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) will hold its second meeting at the Altadena Library Tuesday night, Sept. 21, 7-8:30 PM. ACONA was formed to bring together the heads of neighborhood associations and neighborhood watches so that they can share success stories as well as share and solve issues.
At its first meeting, in July, three dozen neighborhood block captains and others looking to organize their neighborhoods showed up.
At the Tuesday meeting:
- Jeff Sedlik will demonstrate BraeWatch (http://braewatch.org/) a very clever neighborhood mapping tool used by his neighborhood association.
- Sgt. Michael Randenberg of the Altadena Sheriff’s Department will invite neighborhoods to be part of an Altadena-wide neighborhood mapping program.
- Ken Chow will lead a discussion of list serve options for neighborhoods.
- The presentations will be followed by open discussions by neighbors on their needs.
ACONA’s mantra is: Let’s make Altadena the “best neighborhood in LA County”! Join ACONA Tuesday evening to make it so.
