- It's Read for the Record Day as Ezra Jack Keats' children's classic, The Snowy Day, will be read all over the nation today. Locally, reading locations and times will be at the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa (11 AM & 4:30 PM); The Bob Lucas Branch Library, 2659 Lincoln Ave (4 PM); and Perry's Joint Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop, 2051 Lincoln Ave. (10:30 & 4 PM).

- Christmas Tree Lane lights up begins, 9 AM-noon on Santa Rosa.
- "Transform Your Writing" with Dorothy Randall Gray: Gray returns to the Altadena Library with an inspiring, participatory workshop to charge up your writing. 2-4 PM at the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa.

- Bluegrass jam at the Coffee Gallery Backstage, starts at 12:30 PM.
- Sukyo Mahikari Center for Spiritual Development sponsors an Eco-fest in their parking lot from 2-6 PM, 860 E. Mariposa Ave. The Eco-Fest will offer activities of interest for everyone, including children. Activities will include origami with recycled newspaper as well as planting organic seeds in biodegradable peat pots. The Eco-Fest will also include information booths, demonstrations, short talks and displays.
