Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy President Nancy Steele sent this announcement about guided hikes in Rubio Canyon -- and oh, what guides!:
Join us for a guided hike in Rubio Canyon in late October or early November! Local historian and author Michele Zack and trails expert Paul Ayers will lead the hike, which follows the right-of-way trail for the old Mount Lowe Railway to waterfalls and historical sites in the canyon.
The dates are:
Saturday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m. (led by Paul Ayers)
Saturday, Oct. 30, 9 a.m. (led by Michele Zack)
Sunday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m. (led by Michele Zack)
