The Altadena Main Library November art exhibit will display the work of Kathy Carvelles during November.
Pasadenan Carvelles works in mixed media, collage, and assembly. She has received “Special Recognition” for two pieces in 2007 from Upstream People Gallery’s “9th Annual Faces Online Art Exhibit”. “Will You Still Need Me” and Through the Looking Grass” both won awards of merit at the “53rd Bold Expressions International Art Exhibit” in Carmichael, California. She has had a solo exhibit at Vroman’s Bookstore as part of their “Art on the Stairwell” project, and was one of six collage and assembly artists who participated in the "Circa Sometime" exhibit at the Gallery at the End of the World. Most recently two pieces ("Process" and "Three") were chosen to be a part of The Central California Art Association & Mistlin Gallery's 57th Annual Spring Art Show.
There will be an opening reception for the exhibit on Sat., Nov. 6, from 4-7 PM at the Altadena Library Community Room, 600 E. Mariposa.
