Beulah Faulkner, a resident of the Scripps Kensington Home in Alhambra, describes her quilt-like painting to Janelle Morton of the Sophie Miller Foundation. The Foundation, is a supporting organization of The Episcopal Home Communities, dedicated to subsidizing charitable care for older adults who incur financial need. The foundation sponsored "Art from the Heart," an exhibit of paintings from Episcopal Homes' residents and students from area schools and programs such as Hillsides and Five Acres. Sunday afternoon was the official opening of the exhibit, which is on display at the fence around the MonteCedro development, at the corner of Calavaras and El Molino.
