Experienced blogger, teacher, and full-time freelance journalist Anne Louise Bannon, will present a lively workshop useful for both beginners and experienced bloggers in a free workshop: "Blogging from Beginning to Beyond for Fun and (Hopefully) Profit" on Tues., Nov. 16 at the Community Room of the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa, at 7 PM.
Bannon will help you find the answer such questions as “What is blogging?” “Why do it?” “How do I create content?” and “How can I make it pay?”
Blogging seems to be gathering more and more momentum. Some bloggers may see their work as a fun technological adventure. Others hope to publicize themselves, their organizations, or small businesses. Blogs can also be utilized as a way to discuss issues, present valuable information, or serve as a diary or record of events, thoughts, writings, etc. Many may hope to provide a service which might eventually net them a steady stream of income, perhaps enough to give up their day job, or become the basis of a best-selling book.
Bannon manages several blogs including Your Family Viewer (http://yourfamilyviewer.com), which reviews television shows for families; The Oddball Grape (http://oddballgrape.com), a blog about tasting wines, wineries, the people who make wine, and the lifestyle that goes with it; and White House Rhapsody (http://whitehouserhapsody.com), a romance fiction blog that takes place in the White House.
