- Deadline is coming up: Nov. 26, nominations close for Altadena citizen of the year. It's presented annually by the Altadena Chamber of Commerce to those who have contributed significantly through the years to the betterment of the Altadena community. - Calendar this: the 90th anniversary lighting of Christmas Tree Lane will be Sat., Dec. 11. The Christmas Tree Lane's Arts and Crafts Festival (second one, altho' it was rained out last year) starts at 2 PM, and lighting ceremony starts at 6. Parking is limited, but it's all at the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa. (Don't forget -- volunteers are needed to put up lights every weekend on Sat. and Sun., 9 AM-noon). Hotline: 626-403-1123.
