Omar Lopez, 22 years old, a Pasadena resident, was arrested today in the robbery and assault of a 50-year old Altadena woman at a bus stop Tuesday afternoon..
Altadena detectives served a search warrant on the 1100 block of Bella Vista Avenue, where they arrested Lopez. He has been booked at the Temple Sheriff's Station for robbery on $100,000 bail.
The victim was assaulted and robbed at about 5:20 PM Tuesday at the bus stop on Altadena Drive and Washington Boulevard. She was approached by a man, described as Hispanic, who attempted to steal her bag. A struggle ensued, where the suspect kicked the victim several times and threw her to the ground before taking the bag, say the Altadena sheriffs.
Detectives will present the case to the Pasadena district attorney’s office on Monday.
