The monthly meeting of the Altadena Town Council will be at the Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr., on Tues., Nov. 16, at 7 PM.
Hot on the agenda are changes to the council's own bylaws. While most of the revisions are cosmetic -- word choices and the like -- there are some significant changes:
The proposed revisions include provisions that "the format for investigations, hearing, and trial as defined by Robert's Rules of Order is to be used by the ATC for disciplinary proceedings," and that if a member resigns while under investigation and facing removal, he/she cannot run for office later.
These revisions come after last year's events, when a councilmember under investigation resigned before a hearing on his removal could take place.
In addition, the bylaws specify that member must have been a resident of Altadena for at least two years.
