Two injured in Fri. afternoon shooting at Lincoln/Woodbury neighborhood [UPDATED]

The Altadena Sheriff's station tells us that, at 10 PM, crime scene detectives are still on the scene at Lincoln near Woodbury, where a shooting was reported about 4:40 PM this afternoon.

According to the watch commander, two persons were injured and transported to the hospital, and two guns were recovered.  No one is in custody, and they're still sorting it out as of now.

Units were called in from La Canada, La Crescenta, Temple City and from as far away as Santa Clarita to assist with traffic control.  This  allowed some Altadena units to assist with the investigation, get back on patrol and respond to Altadena calls.  The Altadena Station called in several Volunteers On Patrol around 5 pm.  We handled traffic control which relieved the other deputies to return to their cities or assist with the investigation.

 

Lincoln was blocked off between Woodbury on the North to Montana on the South.  After searching the street and sidewalks for clues and evidence, they opened the street up for traffic around 10:45 pm with the exception of the Southbound right hand lane where they continued their investigation on Lincoln and Vermont.  We were released then but the investigation continued into the night.
