- Town Hall meeting at Jackson Elementary School, 593 W. Woodbury, 6 PM, sponsored by the Windsor-Arroyo Neighborhood Association (WANA). Join westside Altadena Town Council members and Altadena Sheriff Capt. Steve McLean. You will have the opportunity to address any questions with Capt. McLean and get his perspective on our community. This is an opportunity for you to make a difference.

- Opening reception at the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa, for the November exhibit of the work of Kathy Carvelles, 4-7 PM.
- The Coffee Gallery Backstage features Mark Barnett as Roy Orbison, copying the look and the unmistakable soaring tenor, performing his classic hits. Tickets $18, show starts 7 PM.
Sun., Nov. 7
- Danny’s Farm and Pegasus Home Health Care will hold a "Duck the Flu" event targeted at special needs children three years and older and their families at Kidspace Children’s Museum in Pasadena. Mercury-free flu shots will be available to all family members for $25. All children who receive shots and their families will be admitted free to the museum for the afternoon, and other family members can enter for half price ($5). Food is available, but you can bring a picnic, too. Pegasus Home Health Care will donate proceeds to Kidspace and Danny's Farm.
- Club 21 Walkathon will run from 9 AM-3 PM at Central Park in Pasadena. Flintridge Preparatory School’s Leo Club is hosting their third Walk-a-Thon to raise funds for Club 21 Learning and Resource Center for children with Down Syndrome and their families. They have invited other schools and organizations in the Pasadena area to join them in supporting this event, called "Together is Better". All proceeds raised from this event will go directly toward supporting that effort. Any contributions made are tax deductible and may be given by check, made out to Club 21, or by credit card on Club 21’s website.
- St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1014 E. Altadena Dr., will be hosting the CROP Hunger Walk fundraiser to fight world hunger. Registration starts at 1 PM.
- The Coffee Gallery (2029 North Lake) book signing, performance and celebration for master storyteller Leslie Perry’s book The Story Man starting at 2 PM.
- Also at 2 PM, "Art from the Heart," a collection of paintings about home, will debut at the MonteCedro site fence, El Molino and Calavaras St.
- Altadenablog sponsor Altadena Ale & Wine House, 2329 N. Fair Oaks, will have a wine tasting, starting at 3 PM.
