As family members look on, Dahlia Sayegh cuts the ribbon to officially open her new salon, The Beauty Room, on Friday afternoon. Sayegh (pronounced "sage") was officially welcomed by members of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce at her grand opening -- President Carrie Meyers holding the certificate, with C. Jake Truman and Ed Meyers to the right (incoming Chamber President Inger Miller holds the ribbon on the left edge of the picture).
Sayegh describes the salon's atmosphere as "a modern take on classic Hollywood, a fun environment, and a different feel from any in the area." The salon caters to all hair types, offering haircuts, coloring, hair treatments, with eyebrow threading and waxing services.
The salon, at 411 E. Woodbury Rd., includes five stylists and an aesthetician, with two makeup artists, and is open seven days a week (phone 626-345-0411).
