The Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy is on the march to preserve Rubio Canyon, and the Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates have joined in. It's a good time for some end-of-year tax-deductible donations:
Dear AFC Friend,
Exciting news! The Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates have made a $10,000 matching grant to help save Rubio Canyon in the Altadena foothills. The Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy is closing in on preserving the entire canyon, home to the once-famous Mount Lowe Railway.
If you make a tax-deductible gift now at www.arroyosfoothills.org, it will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates.
Even better, if you join AFC's Foothills Society, the Nature Center Associates will match your entire five-year pledge, now. Foothills Society members commit to give $1000, $500, $250 or $100 per year for five years.
Please donate today at www.arroyosfoothills.org to ensure that AFC receives the entire amount of the matching grant. If you choose to join the Foothills Society, make your gift, then click on "Add special instructions to the seller" when you are reviewing your donation and enter "Foothills Society."
We're thrilled that the Eaton Canyon Nature Center Associates have decided to join us in the effort to save the Canyon, preventing development, restoring wildlife habitat, and opening new trails to hikers. The Nature Center Associates are committed conservationists and educators with an intimate knowledge of the local San Gabriel Mountains.
In addition to making the $10,000 matching grant, the Nature Center Associates are also making an outright $10,000 gift. Their tremendous support speaks volumes about the importance of the Canyon to the local environment.
Thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Nancy L.C. Steele
President, Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy
