Between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the parking structure of the 24 Hr. Fitness (2180 N. Lincoln Av.). Suspect(s) shattered the driver’s side window, reached into the vehicle and removed several items. Loss: blue vinyl handbag, brown leather wallet containing personal documents, green Samsung cell phone and $40.00 in cash.
Thurs., Dec. 9
Between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM – Theft by False Pretense: The victim received a phone call from a male stating that he was the victim’s grandson and that he was incarcerated in Mexico City. The male asked the victim to wire money via Western Union in order to post bail. The victim asked the male several questions to verify if the male was indeed the grandson. The male verified information and the victim wired the money requested. A few hours later, the male called the victim and requested additional money. The victim grew suspicious and telephoned the grandson. The grandson advised he was not in Mexico City and was not incarcerated. Loss: $3570.00
Between 8:15 AM and 12:05 PM– A residential burglary occurred in the 1000‐block of E. Rubio St. Suspect(s) entered the location by shattering the front door skylight. Loss: none.
Sat., Dec. 11
Between 7:30 PM and 7:00 AM, Monday – A commercial burglary occurred at the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa St. The suspect(s) entered the location by shattering the glass portion of a door. Loss: (2) cash registers containing $30.00 in cash.
Sun, Dec. 12
12:21 AM – A vandalism occurred at All Star Liquor, 2421 Lincoln Av. The suspect was observed via video surveillance approaching the business and throwing a rock through the window. Suspect described wearing a black jacket, red shirt, black pants, and white Nike shoes.
