We received word of the death of Mandi Antonovich, sister of Supv. Michael Antonovich, last week. Burial was Dec. 4 at Forest Lawn. Her obituary follows the jump.
Madeline ('Mandi') Marie Antonovich went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2010. Born March 23, 1946 in Los Angeles, she was the youngest of three children born to Mike and Frances Antonovich. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church. She was a past honored Queen of Jobs Daughter, a member of the California Rangers, Miss Pasadena and a Little Sister of Sigma Nu, Fraternity. She graduated John Marshall High School, California State University Los Angeles and Mount St Mary's College. She taught Junior High School English at Pasture Middle School. She left teaching to raise her two daughters Francine Marie Neumann and Michelle Christine Pangborn.
She started working for the Los Angeles County Probation Department in 2000, She was a Deputy Probation Officer 2 and worked for the program Operation Read as a Community Based Field Organization Supervisor. She had an amazing work ethic and adored her job. She was set to receive her 10 year pin, which she had placed with her. Mandi's Celebration of Life service was held December 4, 2010 and graveside at Forest Lawn Glendale. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmama, Sister and Friend.
She is survived by her two daughters, Francine Marie Neumann and husband James Neumann and Michelle Christine Pangborn, three loving grandchildren Jonathon, Alexander and Magdaline Neumann, two brothers, Gregory Antonovich and wife Joan, Michael Antonovich and wife Christine, a niece and nephew Michael Jr and Mary Christine Antonovich. She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Frances Antonovich.
