We'll be in a small stream flood advisory until 9:15 this morning, National Weather Service says. As for this afternoon, expect high winds with the possibility of more trees coming down this afternoon and tomorrow. Here's their latest shout:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO NOON PST THURSDAY. THE WIND ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* TIMING: GUSTY WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON...THEN BECOME NORTHERLY AND STRENGTHEN LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR EVENING...CONTINUING INTO THURSDAY MORNING.
* WINDS: AREAS OF WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 3O MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON...THEN SHIFT TO NORTH AND INCREASE TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH LATE THIS AFTERNOON OR EVENING...CONTINUING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. DAMAGING WINDS ARE EXPECTED MAINLY IN AND NEAR THE FOOTHILLS.
* IMPACTS: WITH THE SOIL LOOSENED BY RECENT HEAVY RAINS...TREES WILL BE MORE EASILY UPROOTED BY THE STRONG WINDS. THE VERY STRONG WINDS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DOWNED POWER LINES AND CAUSING POWER OUTAGES.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
