New Year's Day, Sat., Jan. 1, 2011
Rose Bowl Game: Due to excessive rains and saturated turf areas surrounding The Rose Bowl, several traditional parking areas will be unavailable at the Rose Bowl Game. As a result, parking around the Rose Bowl will be extremely limited. Fans attempting to utilize general parking will be directed to lots quite a distance from the stadium. Accordingly, the Pasadena Police Dept. and California Highway Patrol (CHP) are asking fans to carpool, or utilize Gold Line Service to the stadium . (We'd park at the Sierra Madre parking structure, take the Gold Line to Memorial Park, walk to Parsons and take a shuttle to the stadium, if it were us! Shuttle service from Parsons begins at 10 AM). The parking situation is sure to affect West Altadena neighborhoods close to the Rose Bowl, so be warned! Check out www.rosebowlstadium.com for up-to-date information.
