The never-ending litany of burglaries continues -- including one in broad daylight in an occupied house. And a pepper spray attack. Quite a week.
Mon., Jan. 17
Between 5:30 PM and 8:30 AM, Tuesday – a vehicle burglary occurred in the 2300 block of Garfias Drive. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window with a brick. Loss: black Garmin Nuvi GPS & RX Ray Ban glasses.
Between 10:00 PM and 6:15 AM, Tuesday – a petty theft from a vehicle occurred in the 1600 block of E. Altadena Drive. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle via unknown means. Loss: black Garmin GPS.
Tues., Jan. 18
Between 7:00 AM and 12:30 PM – a residential burglary occurred in the 1600 block of Oakwood St. Suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage and stole the following items: green Hybrid 7‐speed bicycle, silver/red BMX Rebel children’s bicycle and a green/black 4” trampoline.
Between 10:45 AM and 11:00 AM – a residential burglary occurred in the 600 block of E. Mariposa Street. The suspect entered the residence by removing the rear window screens. During this time, the victim was in a bedroom when the suspect began to kick the bedroom door. The victim believing that the person kicking the door was the roommate, shouted “what!.” The suspect was then heard running down the stairs. A short time later, the victim exited the room, checked the residence and observed the window screens removed. At this time, the victim telephoned the police. Loss: Apple LED monitor, black Dell Vestro 1400 laptop, gray Wacom Intuos 3, Sony Playstation 2, & misc. currency.
11:00 AM – a petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1800 block of N. Lake Avenue. Loss: brown bi‐fold Dooney & Bourke wallet containing personal documents & misc currency.
Between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM, Wednesday – a vehicle burglary occurred in the 900 block of E. Palm Street. Suspect(s) removed the car battery of a ’92 Honda Civic. Loss: car battery.
Thurs., Jan. 20
Between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, Friday – a vehicle burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Grand Oaks Avenue. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by utilizing the keys the victim left on the roof of the vehicle (07’ Toyota Camry).. Loss: set of keys, brown bi‐fold wallet containing credit cards, silver ‘Mereier’ wristwatch, black Ray Ban sunglasses, misc. gift cards & misc. currency.
Fri., Jan. 21
Between 10:30 AM and 12:55 PM – a residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Galbreth Road. Suspect(s) entered the residence by tearing the screen off an open rear window. Loss: white pearl necklace.
Sun., Jan. 23
2:15 AM – an assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the 2500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue. The victims were leaving a party and were approached by suspect #1 – a male, African‐American, 48‐49 years, bald, brown eyes, 6’00, 200 lbs. and suspect #2 – a female, African‐American, 45 years, blonde braids, brown eyes, 5’3.” Suspect #1 approached one of the victim’s and struck the victim in the face with his fist. The victim began to fight back and suspect #2 engaged in the altercation and began striking the victim. The other victim attempted to intervene and was subsequently pushed in the chest. Suspect #1, then removed a can of pepper spray and began spraying the victims. The suspects left the scene in an unknown direction. One of the victims later advised that the suspects are known. Victims were treated for their injuries.
Between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM – a vehicle burglary occurred in the 3300 block of N. Raymond Avenue. Suspect(s) shattered the driver’s side window to gain entry. Loss: orange iPod.
