We like to give credit where it's due, and thank the Patch for pointing to our Sunday story on Danny's Farm and Saturday's stealth farmer's market (really, Air Machine Farmer's Market, one vinyl sign does not publicity make -- but we bet there are doing to be at least TWO places where it'll be on this week's community calendar from now on!)
And in that spirit, the activities involving the Arcadia Woodlands (now due to be bulldozed Wednesday) have been fast, furious, complicated, and out of our coverage area. But Arcadia Patch has been all over it, and we commend you to catch up there.
Also: the Patch tells us that Corey King (pictured) of Altadena has a court hearing scheduled today in the Sept. 2008 murder of a mother and three children in Lancaster and arson in an attempt to cover up the crime. At the time, King was working as a trusty in the Altadena sheriff's station, on probation for a petty theft conviction. After his arrest for the Lancaster murders, King was also questioned in the still-unsolved May 2008 Altadena murder of Evelyn Mosely, which was also a murder with arson cover-up. Authorities said that King apparently knew the Mosely family.
