The Metro 485 bus, which leaves from the triangle park at Altadena Drive and Lake Ave., is under consideration to be shut down in June. Reader Janet Nippell reminds us that "this is a particularly good bus for L.A. County High School for the Arts and Cal State students, who don't need any more burdens at the moment."
The Metro will be holding six hearings during February to get public input on this and other proposed bus service changes. Dates and times of hearings and the full list of proposed changes are listed in this Metro press release.
Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the upcoming public hearings. Those who are unable to attend may submit their written comments postmarked through midnight Feb. 17, 2011, the close of the public record.
