PROPERTY CRIMES
In 2010, Altadena experienced an increase in residential burglaries and thefts from locked and unlocked vehicles. In April of 2010, we refocused the station’s efforts to address this rise in crime. We brought in additional resources and increased our partnership with the community. We ended 2010 with an increase in property crime, however we were able to significantly reduce the crime rate from April of 2010. We are continuing to focus our efforts to reduce crime during 2011. Assaults went up in 2009, and down in 2010.
