It seems to be the season for announcing summer concerts ... Bob Mann's Big Hat Productions presents authentic Western music in his home in Altadena each summer (usually with barbecue!) and this year's lineup looks rip-snortin'! Advance reservations are required.

Sat., June 11: A Special Evening with Juni Fisher, 2009 Western Music Assn. Female Performer of the Year. $25 cash donation requested.
Sat., June 25: Gary Allegretto with Ian Esponiza: Singer/songwriter/harmonica virtuoso Allegretto and singer/songwriter/guitarist Esponza form a duo without peer. In addition, Gary will present his harmonica workshop (designed for the complete beginner), ages 6 and up. Great fun for everyone. $20 for the concert, $20 for the workshop, or $35 for both (deadline for harmonica workshop reservation is June 15).
Sat., July 9: Gary Robertson and Michael Tcherkassky in an evening of cowboy poetry and song, $20.
July 23: Dave Bourne and Ray Doyle: western pianist Bourne also records Dixieland and plays ragtime coronet -- he was most recently the Gem Saloon piano player in HBO's "Deadwood." Singer/songwriter/guitarist Doyle is a longtime member of the C&W band Wylie & the Wild West, and celebrates his Irish immigrant heritage. $20 donation
Sat., Aug. 6: Belinda Gail, "America's Western Sweetheart," returns to close out the series. $20 donation
