Participants will learn how to: plan a kitchen that enhances the cooking process -- from planning, prep, and storage, to cooking and cleanup; shop for new appliances that support their cooking style; select the right countertops, cabinets and finish materials to complement their home and lifestyle; avoid construction delays and incorporate money-saving tips; create a comfortable, beautiful space to share with friends and family; and shop like a designer at vendors’ showrooms.
“We want participants to leave the workshop feeling empowered to create a kitchen that supports their cooking style and family needs, as well as looks beautiful”, says Gail Jamentz, “and they’ll learn some trade secrets to maximizing their design budget.”
The two-hour workshop, hosted at Chez Cherie Cooking School in La Canada 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., will include a short open Q&A period to answer attendees’ kitchen design dilemmas.
