- PSN has come out to endorse incumbents Renatta Cooper and Tom Selinske, and Altadena's Gene Stevenson for seats on the school board at the March 8 election, which sounds right to us. We love Seat 2 write-in candidate Cushon Bell, but we think that the candidate forums that she avoided are actually a very important step in vetting potential candidates and we think voters need a fair chance to size up the competition. We look forward to Bell mounting a full campaign to show her mettle in 2013.

Carri Patterson Grindon, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Altadenan Allan Yovanovich, Former Sergeant, United States Marine Corps, assisted by the scouts of Troop One, which is also headquartered at St. Mark's (in the interests of transparency, that's where your publisher goes to church).
