Authorities still haven't released the name of the victim in Saturday night's shooting on W. Palm St., which is now being investigated by sheriff's detectives.
Updated information says that the victim was a 17-year-old Muir High School student who was on the football team, and a participant in the Mentoring and Partnership for Youth Development program on the Muir campus. Tecumseh Shackelford, one of the MPYD mentors, told Altadenablog this morning via phone that he was on the Muir campus meeting students about the situation.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Brandon Jackson, 18, a junior at Muir High School and fullback on the football team.
