The Foothill Municipal Water District has presented a slightly-revised matrix of how local water companies are requesting customers to handle the March 18-27 shutdown from Metropolitan Water District:
The City of Pasadena is lifting watering restrictions from March 11-17 to allow residents to give their thirsty lawns a good drink before shutdown. (Some southeast Altadena residents receive their water from Pasadena). Pasadena is hoping to use 150 million gallons during a period where 250 million gallons is usually used. For more details, visit Pasadena's shutdown website.
The Metropolitan Water District, which helps feed Foothill and Pasadena, is giving their plant in LaVerne a seismic upgrade and maintenance during that period. Foothill in turn feeds several water districts in the San Gabriel Valley and Glendale.
