Between trying to blow up the hills for no discernible reason and workin' overtime to ensure that nothing fun happens in Altadena, it's been a busy week! Have a good time while you can! Here are some suggestions, and keep coming back because we keep adding:
Thurs., March 17
- Toddler story time at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., 11 AM.
- The Altadena Ale & Wine House, 2329 N. Fair Oaks, is celebrating St. Patrick's Day starting at noon. Corned beef, cabbage, Guinness, Harp, or Black and Tan, get your Celt on.
- Altadena Chamber of Commerce mixer at The Beauty Room, 411 E. Woodbury Rd. $5 for member, $7 for guests.
FrI. March 18
- Voluntary water restrictions start today, and continue through March 27.
- Fun Flick Friday: Megamind at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., starting at 3:30 PM. Free.
Sat. March 19
- Primavera in Altadena, the third annual San Gabriel Valley Blogger's Spring Potluck, at the north pavilion on Farnsworth Park, starting at 11 and ending whenever it ends. Bloggers and blog-fans are invited to mix and mingle at our annual gathering of the tribes. Bring a dish to share, and expect to make some new friends!
- Curves grand re-opening, 2455 N. Lake., 1-5 PM. Food, raffles, massages, luminaria-making and shopping, with all proceeds to be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Sun. March 20
- Supporting the midlife journey gathering at a private home, 1-4 PM. Go to www.simpleordinarypresence.com for more information.
- The Altadena Urban Farmer's Market is taking a month off, and will return April 17.
