The latest in the Altadena Permit Follies: Fancy Food Truck Fridays is on this week (unless it rains), and the Altadena Urban Farmer's Market is taking another month off.
Food Truck Fridays runs from 5-9 PM this Fri., April 8, in the parking lot at the Webster's stores, Lake and Marcheta. Some parking in the lot, but mostly parking in the street. Featured gourmet food trucks this month are the Hungry Nomad, No Reservations, Shrimp Pimp, Greenz on Wheelz, the South Philly Experience, and King Cone.
Meanwhile, after taking a break in March, the Altadena Urban Farmer's Market at the Zane Grey Estate is running into some delays in the permit process and won't be able to open April 17 as planned. Organizer Gloria Putnam says: "Thanks for your patience while we try to legalize food!"
