Victor Wright celebrates with his classmate (and John Muir Alumni Assn. president) Dave Rutherford at Cafe 322 Saturday night.
The members of the John Muir High School class of 1979 celebrated their collective 50th birthdays this year with a "milestone reunion party" bash at Cafe 322 in Sierra Madre. The guest of honor was Altadenan Victor Wright. Wright, who went to Muir from 1975-79, was severely injured in a football game in tenth grade and became a quadraplegic. Nonetheless, he graduated from high school with his class, graduated from college, and is one of the founders of Family of Friends International. Wright was inducted into the John Muir High School Hall of Fame in 2007.
A full house came to honor Wright and celebrate a milestone year for the class of 1979.
