Just received word from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department that homicide detectives are en route to Chantry Flats Campground in the Angeles National Forest to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man.
The victim was a white man, who was discovered about 5:40 PM tonight. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff's statement.
