Public safety maven Carolyn Seitz has sent out word that a resident of southwest Altadena reported suspicious activity in northwest Pasadena, where a man was seen distributing flyers:
A watchful resident noted that he only seemed to drop a flyer on porches where there were NO vehicles in the driveway. They thought it odd that he was skipping residences with vehicles in the driveway.
They watched what they characterized as unusual behavior, notified some neighbors to be watchful and then observed the man enter the backyard of a residence and then heard the sound of breaking glass. They called Pasadena Police quickly.
That is a good reminder to be vigilant and to report suspicious activity.
The Sheriff's Department would much rather show up to question someone in your neighborhood and make sure they're okay than to have to show up later to write a burglary report.
