- Fancy Food Truck Friday at the Webster's complex Lake and Marcheta, 5-9 PM (unless it rains, then it's off). Featured gourmet food trucks this month are the Hungry Nomad, No Reservations, Shrimp Pimp, Greenz on Wheelz, the South Philly Experience, and King Cone.
Sat., April 9
- The Central Altadena Little League is holding a "Baseball Mania" extravaganza on at Farnsworth Park Lower Field, from 9 AM-2 PM. Includes a run, pitch and throw competition, player awards and prizes, and it's picture day. CALL is also looking to raise funds for its programs, is collecting clothing for charity, and will finish with a baseball game betwen the CALL Majors and Altadena sheriff deputies.
- It's here! The Altadena Library presents "Poetry and Cookies" from 2-5 PM, this year at the Altadena Senior Center, 560 E. Mariposa (next to the library). Enjoy poetry by local poets -- and cookies -- in this Altadena Library and Friends of the Library program! Books will be available for sale, and there are a limited number of open readings -- come early to sign up.
