That's what reader Sue reported: a coyote was feasting on yearling venison for breakfast in her neighbor's yard this morning. (Since the deer didn't appear to be hit by a car, we're suspecting it was taken down by a coyote pack or a mountain lion who was interrupted). Coupled with all of the coyotes snatching cats in the area, it really pays to keep a tight rein on your animals right now.
