Crown City News' Tami DeVine tells us that CCN and Barnes & Noble Bookstore will host a book signing with TV star Isaiah Washington this Monday, May 23, at the Pasadena Community Network studios, 2061 N. Los Robles Ave., Suite 109.
Washington's new book, A Man from Another Land, chronicles his early life, his film and TV career, and his search to find his roots after going through a DNA test that shows his ancestors came from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Since learning about his history, Washington has traveled to Sierra Leone, donated medical supplies to a hospital there, and built a school.
CCN's DeVine will interview Washington for her show "Game Changers" on the Arroyo Channel 32 on Monday at 6:30 PM. The interview can also be seen streaming live on www.crowncitynews.com/live. It will also be posted online at www.crowncitynews.com on Wed., May 25.
