The John Muir High School Alumni Association will hold a pair of outreach meetings to acquaint the Muir community with the association and the various school programs it supports at the school library May 18 and 21.
The meetings will take place 7-9 PM on Thurs., May 18 and 10 AM.-noon on Sat., May 21, at 1905 Lincoln Ave., in Pasadena. Parking on Thursday evening is available in the faculty lot and on Saturday morning in the student lot.
“We want the hundreds of alumni and community who have expressed an interest in John Muir High School, the students, the campus and its programs to become more familiar with our organization and the many the programs we support,” said President Jim Henderson (Class of 1970). It also gives those who have not been involved to get a closer look at the existing programs at Muir and what we do to honor the past, support the present and secure the future of this great campus.”
Since its inception in 2004, the Alumni Association has raised thousands of dollars for campus improvements, scholarships, team uniforms and academic supplies. It has maintained the campus Alumni Hall of Fame and Museum, provided funding for an electronic marquee, supported student projects and hosted an annual Hall-of-Fame ceremony and campus picnic.
