Big Hat Promotion's next cowboy house concert will be cowboy poet Gary Robertson and balladeer Michael Tcherkassky on Sat., July 9:
Gary Robertson is an accomplished cowboy poet and endearing storyteller. Gary loves his audiences, and they love him. His stories of the cowboy way and ranching lifestyle touch both the heart and the funny bone.Always in demand, Gary has performed at the Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering, Arizona Cowboy Poetry Gathering, Cowboy Hall of Fame, Gene Autry Museum, Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival, and Big Bear Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
Knowing your subject matter is key to any successful performer, and Gary lives his every day as Ranch Manager for Greenfield Ranch in Thousand Oaks, California. He is also an accomplished Dutch oven cook and purveyor of truly bad jokes.
Michael Tcherkassky has become a very familiar face among those who enjoy Cowboy and Western music. His style and delivery of cowboy ballads easily conjure up visions of cowboys around the campfire, hot coffee and the aroma of wood smoke. Well known by his SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) moniker “Saddle Serenader”, Michael has performed throughout the West entertaining at many of the most popular gatherings. For more than a decade, Michael has been singing songs on horseback while greeting guests at the prestigious Santa Clarita Cowboy Gathering.
$20 per person cash donation requested, and advance reservations are required. Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6, and concert begins at about 7 PM.
