The 60's will never die: for all you countercultural types: this Sunday starting at 1 PM there will be potluck lunch and music to honor Altadenan Tim Dundon's 69th birthday.
Dundon, aka Zeke the Sheik, is of course, Altadena's master of compost. He lives in a rain forest of his own construction on Mountain View. His friend Duane Thorin tells us "there is hardly an organic garden in LA that he has not supplied, including the LA Arboreteum, and many colleges, high schools, charter elementary schools and more. A true local hero."
The event will be held at 3110 Broadway in Lincoln Heights, California Historical Monument 157, the Horace P. Dibble House, a Victorian mansion that is now a concert/art/whatever space.
Featured artist will be local favorite Raspin Stuwart with his band, as well as the Dregs of Pele, and Zeke himself with his rhymes and reasons -- and he's bringing a truckload of poo to the party, too.
Bring not only some potluck, but a drum (you DO have a drum?) for the drum circling and other festivities. You can also sign up to perform on the stage.
Questions or clarifications, call Duane at 323-627-0662.
