Morning jolt

• Altadena Heritage announces that it's happy to receive $500 from the Altadena Community Chest, Russ Fega's  charitable organization to funnel a little of this Hollywood money back to the community (you can read about it here!)  
• The Altadena CERT/Pasadena PERT refresher course lat weekend made it on TV.  Nobody we recognize, but we can guess that you don't want to end up on the red tarp after triage ...
• Save the date:  the next meeting of the Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) will be Tues., Aug. 9, 7-8:30 PM at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St. 
• A little early Father's Day news: Keith "Sarge" Gibbs, who's been in the news once already this week, was named a "Father of the Community" by Nix Financial, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, and MoneyGram International Money Transfer.  The Los Angeles “Father of the Community” program was developed in 2007 by Nix Financial to pay tribute to men who are doing positive things to improve conditions in their community and who are considered role models.
