Students ages 5-15 still have time to enroll in the Foothill Arts Collective's Theater Summer Camp at Loma Alta Park, starting July 11.
Artistic director for the camps is Sabina Luniga Varela, MFA. There will be two sessions: the first session, July 11-22, will be a program using theater games, improvisation, basic elements of dialogue, character and movement. Students will create, write, and produce an original work.
The second session, Aug. 8-19, is a two week program taking students through rehearsal process, learning blocking, voice projection, character development, costume and set design, identifying individual theater and performance of a published play.
Both camps run from 8 AM-2 PM, with extended childcare available from 2-6 PM. Enrollment is limited to 20 students. Cost is $150/week, and financial aid is available.
According Clara Hill-Williams of the Foothill Arts Collective, registration and scholarship forms are available at Loma Alta Park. For more information, call 626-841-0911.
