The Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena (SSGA) has announced the lineup for the 15th annual free Summer Concerts in the beautiful Farnsworth Park’s outdoor Amphitheater, 568 E. Mt. Curve Ave., Altadena. All concerts start at 7:00 PM.
This year’s season kicks off on July 9th with the Irish Volunteers and the Irish Pride Dancers who will performmusic and dance from the Public Houses of Ireland.
The July 16th concert will be featuring the Downbeat Express, Altadena’s Big Band, along with the vocal talents of Jennifer Gates and high note trumpet artist Paul Cacia.
On July 23rd Altadena will have its very own Jazz guitarist Brian Hughes with The Brian Hughes Quintet who will simply dazzle you, performing music from his brand new CD "Fast Train To A Quiet Place".
On July 30th back for their second appearance are the crowd pleaser Upstream featuring Caribbean musicand so much more. On August 6th the Blue Breeze Band will entertain with Motown, Blues, R & B and Soul. Dancing shoes would be a great idea!
On August 13th Lisa Haley & the Zydekats will be in the amphitheater with high energy Zydeco music. Bring your dancing shoes again.
On August 20th Classic Rock ‘N Roll willbe performed by The Mixx, get ready to Rock ‘N Roll and be sure your dancing shoes are still available. On August 27th the sounds of Western music will fill the amphitheater with The Tumbling Tumbleweeds. Keep those dancing shoes at the ready.
The 2011 Summer Concert Series concludes on September 10th with a tribute to the Beach Boys performed exquisitely by the tribute band The Beach Toys. Dancing shoes are now required.
Each year, the Summer Concert Series has been made possible by the generous support of our sponsors.This year SSGA welcomes back a major sponsor, Warner Bros. Entertainment, whose donation accounts for nearly 40% of the total cost of the Concert Series.

SSGA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that assists the Altadena Sheriff’s Station with equipment and supplies not available through the County budget and are the producers of the 15th Annual Summer Concert Series.
