The Altadena sheriffs report that two men shot on Figueroa last night are being "extremely uncooperative," and police suspect it is gang-involved, although not related to previous shootings in the Altadena/Pasadena area.
Sheriff Lt. Joseph Dempsey said that the two Altadena residents, ages 18 and 19, were shot at about 8:13 PM last night on the 500 block of Figueroa. Dempsey said that one was shot in the arm and one in the back, and were hospitalized. Dempsey said that the victims were "extremely uncooperative to the deputies last night, and continue to be uncooperative today."
Dempsey said that they suspect the shooting was gang-related, but it's still under investigation. It does not appear that the shooting was related to or is in retaliation for recent gang-related shootings in the area, Dempsey said.
