The Altadena Library continues its Summer Movie Extravaganza every Friday at 3:30 PM through the month of August. All films are free, and popcorn and drinks are provided.
On Aug. 5, "Rio": a domesticated macaw from small town Minnesota takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janiero with the bird of his dreams. Rated G.
On Aug. 12: "Mars Needs Moms": Milo finds out how much he needs his mom when she's kidnapped by Martians. Rated PG.
On Aug. 19: "Soul Surfer": the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton who lost her left arm in a shark attack and overcame all odds to become a champion again. rated PG.
On Aug. 26: "Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil": Red Riding Hood and the Wolf are called to examine the mysterious disappearance of Hansel and Gretel. Rate PG.
