Two trainees for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) put out a fire during a training exercise at the Altadena Library parking lot Thursday night. Twenty-five people passed the latest round of CERT training in Altadena, where residents learn firefighting, first aid, search and rescue, and other skills that come in handy in time of crisis or emergency. Trainees came from Glendale, Pasadena, and Monrovia, as well as Altadena.
