A definite uptick in vehicle burglaries, with some residential burglaries and thefts mark this period of the Crime Log:
Fri., July 29
Between 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Sunday – A commercial burglary occurred in the 300 block of E. Alameda Street. Suspect(s) entered an unlocked tool shed located in the backyard of a residence. Loss: 12” wood planer.
Sun., July 31
Between 5:30 PM and 7:00 AM, Monday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1000 block of Wapello Street. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: white iPod 32g.
11:25 PM – A grand theft occurred in the 400 block of E. Calaveras Street. Loss: navy blue carry-on bag containing personal documents, apparel, toiletries.
Tues., Aug. 2
Between 12:00 AM and 6:30 AM – A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of W. Mountain View Street. Suspect(s) entered the residence via the unlocked side door. Loss: black Motorola Droid X cell phone.
Between 10:30 PM and 8:00 AM, Wednesday – A vehicle was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Atchison Street, Pasadena.
5:10 AM – An attempt grand theft of a vehicle occurred in the 1700 block of Pepper Drive. Suspect(s) attempted to steal the vehicle by punching the door lock to enter the vehicle and punching the ignition switch. The vehicle was damaged however, not stolen.
Wed., Aug. 3
Between 3:30 PM and 6:45 AM – A vehicle vandalism occurred in the 700 block of Stonehurst Drive.
Between 8:00 PM and 7:00 AM, Thurs. – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Midwick Drive. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: black iPhone charger.
Sun., Aug. 7
Between 9:30 PM and 4:00 PM, Monday – A petty theft was reported in the 80 block of Figueroa Drive. Loss: men’s red bicycle with a basket, women’s pink bicycle with a basket and two bike locks.
Mon, Aug. 8
Between 8:00 PM and 6:45 AM, Tuesday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2900 block of Emerson Way. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: black Motorola Bluetooth & a roadside safety kit.
Between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, Tuesday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Canyon Crest Rd. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the passenger side window. Loss: white Apple MacBook (property of LAUSD), black USB portable hard-drive, black 4g thumb drive, ‘The Island’ book, black brief case, ashtray, black/green portable cd player & misc. currency.
Between 10:00 AM and 2:15 PM, Thursday – A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Navarro Avenue. Suspect(s) entered the residence by removing the bedroom window screen. Loss: gray Dell 17” laptop, white Nintendo Wii game console, & a home stereo system.
Tues., Aug. 9
Between 10:30 AM and 6:30 AM, Wednesday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 900 block of Kent Street. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: brown/red Coach wallet containing personal documents.
Wed., Aug. 10
5:20 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 2900 block of Bargen Way. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: gray Apple MacBook w/a pink case & a black Apple iPod touch w/a pink case.
Thurs., Aug. 11
Between 11:00 AM and 7:00 AM – An attempt commercial burglary occurred in the 2600 block of N. Fair Oaks Avenue. Suspect(s) attempted to enter the location by prying the wrought iron front gate. Loss: none.
Fri., Aug. 12
Between 1:30 AM and 7:30 AM – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1600 block of Braeburn Street. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: black Garmin GPS.
Between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 2300 block of N. Marengo Avenue. Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the bathroom window. Loss: black Apple iPad, silver w/white Apple wireless keyboard.
10:20 PM – An attempt robbery occurred in the 2200 block of N. Lincoln Avene. Suspect described as a male, African-American, 6 ft. 2 in. - 6 ft. 4 in., 150-170 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, white shoes, and a white towel covering face, pointed a hand gun at the victims and demanded money. The victims told the suspect that they had no money and the suspect fled the location westbound from the above location. Loss: none.
Between 10:00 AM and 6:35 PM – A residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Calaveras Street. Suspect(s) entered the location by prying the kitchen door window. Loss: Pasadena 25 yr. pin.
Between 10:30 PM and 8:00 AM, Saturday – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Morada Street. Suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle by shattering the driver’s side window. Loss: black Garmin GPS.
