The Altadena Sheriff's Station held its annual National Night Out at Farnsworth Park Tuesday night. Grilled burgers and hot dogs and lots of potluck filled out the menu, public safety information was widely available, and there was possibly the world's largest bounce house keeping the kids occupied during the evening. A highlight was Altadena Sheriff Capt. Steven McLean sitting in the dunk tank (we were hoping for someone in a donut costume to show up so we could write the headline "Donut Dunks Cop," but it didn't happen ...)

But he gets back up again.
The sheriff's station is also holding a community get-together at Charles White Park on Saturday starting at 1 PM.
