- Fancy Food Truck Friday with special guest Paco the crime-fighting Chihuahua behind the Webster's stores, 2450 N. Altadena Dr., 5-9 PM Meet and and take your picture with Altadena's newest canine superhero from 6-8 PM (t-shirts will be available, too!) This month's food trucks include Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race Winner Grill em All, as well as Greenz on Wheelz, Shrimp Pimp, India Jones, Hungry Nomad, and A Rockin Ice.

- The Brandon Jackson Scholarship Basketball Shootout goes on from 8 AM-8 PM at Loma Alta Park. Boys and girls basketball teams from various area high schools along withcommunity teams will play all day in this event to honor the life of Brandon Jackson and help raise money for college scholarships to enable deserving young people in our community. The Brandon Jackson Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two deserving, college-bound
students in August 2011. The final amount of each scholarship will be determined by funds raised in the Brandon Jackson Memorial Basketball Shootout.
Come join us for a day of fun while also supporting the youth of our community! Admission: $5 for everyone. Donations are accepted: make ALL checks payable to First Presbyterian Church, Altadena. - Sheriff Support Group Summer Concert Series welcomes the Lisa Haley and the Zydekats to the Farnsworth Park stage, 7 PM. Before the concert, you can pick up a dinner from Amy’s Patio Café http://www.amyspatiocafe.net/id3.html or El Patron http://elpatrononline.com/. During the concert, beer and wine are available for purchase courtesy of the Altadena Rotary Club. Webster's Fine Stationers provides refreshment for the performers. Concerts are hosted by the Altadena Sheriff’s Station and Farnsworth Park. Sponsors of the summer concert series are: Warner Bros., Rotary Club of Altadena, Supervisor Michael D. - Italian movie night at Bulgarini Gelato, 749 E. Altadena Dr. Movie is "La Siciliana Ribelle (The Sicilian Girl)" -- a story of Mafia revenge. Dinner starts at 7:30 PM, $13 (reservations required) including a pasta dish, salad and drink. The film is free, no reservations are required, and starts after dark. Gelato available throughout.
